Job Purpose:

DCom (digital commerce) Programme is a core strategic initiative and an underpinning component of Unilever's growth ambition to be the market leader both from a channel and sales perspective. Our aim is to deliver industry first capabilities and toolsets for frontline digital commerce teams - ensuring state of the art data and analytics capabilities for Unilever markets like US, UK, Europe and China.

The Product manager role will report into the Product & strategy head within the Global dCom execution technology team and:

  • Be responsible for end-to-end product management for a market cluster and act as the single window of accountability.
  • Engage with the data foundation team to ensure that the right data governance is in place for proprietary tools and their cost optimization.
  • Liaise with the market cluster to understand requirements, align vision of the market users with the strategic product roadmap, and deliver on the same.
  • Partner with the foundation teams to ensure delivery of the roadmap based on local and global priorities.
  • Manage engineering and product teams to deliver complex capabilities within the current dCom execution.
  • Maintain a central control and adherence to the Data and Analytics strategy for Unilever digital commerce in collaboration with other stakeholders and product owners.
  • Design global product rollout maps in partnership with product and engagement stakeholders to ensure economies of scale and maximise return on investment for Unilever Global Data & Technology team.
  • Set up and anchor the Product Innovation team forums with steercos and monthly meetings.
  • Continuously review, evaluate, and improve the product roadmap and relevant products to ensure ongoing success.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address product challenges, ensuring continuous improvement throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Prior work experience in handling digital commerce platforms and apps and an ability to handle executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business terms and vice versa, facilitating clear communication within Scrum teams.
  • Hands-on knowledge on Azure, PowerBI, Databricks, SQL, Python, and Data management platforms is preferred.

Scope of the Role:

  • Act as the product manager managing a cluster of digital commerce capabilities end-to-end for a cluster of Unilever markets in Europe and China.
  • Support the dCom execution charter and work with the dCom - strategy & product lead to establish the new organization structure and ways of working as per the new aligned products blueprint.
  • Handle the migrated apps that have been onboarded into his/her tool catalogue and ensure the right governance practices are adopted for the same.

Preferred Experience:

  • Digital or eCommerce expertise - experience with digital (Data, AI, tech) projects / products / programmes.
  • Hands-on knowledge on PowerBI, Databricks, SQL, Python, Azure, AWS, and Data management platforms is preferred.
