Role Overview + Purpose of the Job

We have an exciting opportunity to join our flagship counter in the UK, at Selfridges London. You will join our experienced and high performing Counter Manager to deliver a premium level of service to discerning beauty customers and exceed business goals and targets on a weekly basis. You will be passionate about exceptional service and our luxury haircare products, which you will use to inspire and educate our clients. Being a true brand ambassador, you’ll be confident in presenting and sharing your haircare and product knowledge and tips with customers, creating tailored haircare routines and desired styles. It’s essential to be self-motivated and able to work as a team player with our current Counter Manager to jointly hit daily and weekly sales targets.

Main Responsibilities

  • Commercial Goals
  • Achieve and exceed personal daily and weekly sales targets set out by the brand and Selfridges as part of the annual retail sales target.
  • Increase counter productivity to meet a min AUS 2.0 & AVS £60.
  • Bring new creative ideas to the business to maximise sales and exceed targets.
  • Develop positive working relationships with department managers and head office to communicate support needed to achieve sales targets.
  • Training And Service
    • Have a desire to learn fundamental and technical product knowledge (clinical claims, benefits, usage) as well as application and demonstration techniques to provide the best experience and results for the customer.
    • Always implement high level premium customer service to build strong customer engagement and loyalty.
    • Use technical knowledge and selling skills to influence customers and assist them in choosing the right products to ensure instant and long-term hair health benefits.
    • Convey passion and master brand storytelling.
    • Traffic stop and share our brand icons.
    • Maintain a strong knowledge of haircare and beauty trends.
  • Counter Standards And Stock Management
    • Always maintain the flagship counter/store standards.
    • Review visual merchandising daily, including appearance and cleanliness of counter/display, ensuring all stock is aligned to planogram and counter POS is clear and in good condition.
    • Daily review of stock management, audit low and OOS with reporting any issues to Counter Manager, Area Manager and Brand commercial team.
    • Manage samples effectively when available in store.

    Essential Skills

    • Proven experience in sales and achieving/exceeding targets.
    • Evidence of growing accounts through strategic thinking and incremental opportunities in your role.
    • Selling in FMCG and beauty/skincare, haircare experience would be advantageous.
    • Strong interpersonal, numeracy and organisational skills.
    • Excellent team player.
    • Proactive and self-motivated.
    • Required during peak trade and weekends.
    • Excellent grooming standards.
