We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Social Brands Insights Manager to lead the development and execution of innovative "social-by-design" brand strategies. This role is pivotal in shaping our brand's presence in the beauty and wellbeing world, driving brand equity, and fostering deep consumer connections. You will be instrumental in leveraging social-first insights to create culturally relevant brand experiences and drive tangible business impact.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Strategic Brand Building: Development of comprehensive "social-by-design" brand strategies in close partnership with a cross-section of global brands cross-functional teams. Ensure the articulation of distinctive brand differentiators and the cultivation of robust brand equity to elevate brand desirability and drive in-market growth.
- BrandVerse Architecture: Insight the development of social insights to inform brand positioning. Help in building the cultural identity and authentic brand resonance that develops deep consumer connection and ignites memorable brand experiences.
- Communication Strategy & Desirable Superiority Drivers: Assist in codifying our brands’ key desirability and superiority drivers into a cohesive, multi-channel communication strategy that builds long-term brand equity.
- Business Impact & Social Insights: Integrate multi-source social insights across channel trends, beauty culture, desirability insights, and audience passion points into strategic brand activations during campaign ideation.
- Engagement & Content: Identify and leverage pivotal engagement drivers within the beauty and wellbeing social world for compelling content insights that build brand affinity and drive audience interaction.
- Competitive Analysis & Optimization: Run competitor analyses to identify key performance gaps in key measures. Develop targeted optimization strategies to ensure brand salience and distinction.
- Best Practice Leadership: Establish and lead a global BESS-best-practice sharing program, fostering collaboration and maximizing the impact of strategic insights.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Proven experience in brand strategy development, with a strong focus on social media and digital platforms.
- Deep understanding of social-first insights & data and their application in brand building.
- Demonstrated ability to translate consumer insights into impactful brand strategies and campaigns.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in conducting competitive analysis.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
- Experience within the Beauty and wellbeing market is a must.
Desired skills
- Expertise in social media analytics and insights platforms.
- Strong understanding of the emerging trends and consumer drivers in the B&W world.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- CMI &/or Digital Insights experience are preferred.

Location: In 2020, Unilever announced the intention to build a new sustainable campus site in Kingston, London to house the employees who currently work in 100 Victoria Embankment in Blackfriars ("100VE"). The build is due to be complete in early 2025. Most recently, in August 2024, we announced our intention to retain our premises in 100VE until our lease expires in 2027. We are due to consult with our existing workforce on the new proposal to retain 100VE for the duration of our lease. Therefore, until such a time consultation has concluded as to the retention of our 100VE office, this role will be based in 100 Victoria Embankment until early 2025 and then will move to the Kingston Campus.
