Who You Are & What You’ll Do
The Maintenance /Controls Technicianwill maintain, monitor and repair facilities/manufacturing equipment to ensure their reliable and safe operation. Execute WO’s and PM’s for ensuring ice cream equipment is ready for service. Support controls team with PLC and Servo diagnostics, programming, and troubleshooting. SCADA/HMI screens and VB coding. VFD setup and support, controls systems. Networking. Robot troubleshooting.
- Ensure that our required safety and GMP practices are being followed at all times.
- Resolve equipment malfunctions by performing breakdown analysis, identifying the root cause and taking corrective action.
- Install and configure PLCs, HMIs, and control panels for automated machinery
- Program and modify PLC logic using ladder logic, structured text, or function block diagrams
- Diagnose and repair faults in control systems, sensors, actuators, and motor drives
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and control systems to ensure reliability
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support system upgrades and new installations
- Document wiring diagrams, control logic, and system configurations
- Automation, or related field.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems, VFDs, and industrial networking protocols
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes
- Participate on WCM teams including PM pillar teams, AM pillar teams and all others as required.
- Comply with all Safety and GMP guidelines (examples but not limited to):
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Lockout Tagout (LOTO)
- Working at Heights
- Fire Prevention
- Machine Guarding
- All other duties as assigned
In addition, there will be exposure to allergens, including but not limited to dairy, eggs, tree nuts, coconut, peanuts, wheat (gluten), soybean and cinnamon.
What You’ll Need To Succeed

High School diploma or associate’s degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering
- Intermediate computer skills to include Microsoft office applications, Informance and SAP Maintenance.
- Ability to lead and present trainings to small teams and establishing a strong follow-up initiative.
- Flexible work hours to accommodate business needs.
- Basic project management skills, sufficient to effectively work cross-functionally with other departments to adhere to timelines.
- 3+ years of experience in industrial controls and PLC programming
- Proficiency with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or other major PLC platforms
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control logic diagrams
- Required to occasionally lift 50 lbs.
