This role plays a key part in ensuring the accurate receipt, processing, tracking, and shipment of samples within a GLP/GCP-regulated laboratory environment. The position also provides operational laboratory support, including reagent preparation, consumable management, and equipment coordination. It offers a great opportunity for someone interested in developing experience across laboratory operations, compliance, and support systems within the pharmaceutical research industry.
Responsibilities- Receive, reconcile, process, store, and ship laboratory samples in line with regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate sample tracking and documentation within laboratory systems (e.g., LIMS)
- Coordinate and communicate with clients and courier services regarding sample shipments
- Prepare reagents and solutions required for laboratory work
- Support stock management of consumables, analytical standards, and control matrices
- Assist with stock takes, inventory monitoring, and expiry tracking
- Support laboratory organisation and operational efficiency
- Assist with preventative maintenance documentation and equipment coordination
- Support environmental monitoring systems and storage unit management
- Ensure all activities follow company SOPs and regulatory standards (GLP/GCP)
- Maintain accurate documentation and support audit readiness
- Provide general laboratory support across operational activities as required
- Secondary school education required; A-levels in a relevant scientific subject preferred
- No prior laboratory experience required, though experience in a laboratory or regulated environment is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to follow procedures and regulatory requirements accurately
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently when required
- Willingness to learn and develop within laboratory operations
- Eligible to work in the UK
