As a Salesforce Engineer, you\’ll be at the heart of this journey, collaborating with our close-knit team comprising one other Salesforce Developer, a Salesforce Administrator, and our visionary Head of Salesforce. Your expertise will be instrumental in advancing our CRM development initiatives. You\’ll thrive in a balanced work environment, spending three days collaborating at our central Sheffield office and two days enjoying the convenience of working from home. Reporting directly to our Head of CRM, you\’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and sustaining our Salesforce ecosystem. From conceptualization to execution, your responsibilities will encompass crafting, testing, and deploying tailored Salesforce applications and features. Your toolkit will span declarative configurations and programmatic methods, such as Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components. Furthermore, you\’ll ensure seamless integration with external systems, prioritize data precision, and perform essential data tasks like modelling, migration, and cleansing.
Key responsibilities:
- Engage with stakeholders to comprehend business needs, translating them into pragmatic solutions within the Salesforce framework.
- Elevate Salesforce capabilities by enhancing features through automation tools, such as flows, process builders, and validation rules.
- Champion a \”config first\” philosophy, delivering scalable solutions primarily through declarative approaches while leveraging programmatic elements to elevate outcomes.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, capturing Salesforce customizations and development methodologies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to troubleshoot, innovate, and provide technical support, ensuring efficient issue resolution and the delivery of enhancements.
- Embrace continuous learning, staying abreast of Salesforce updates, industry trends, and best practices, to offer informed recommendations for optimization.
Skills and experience:
- Demonstrated 2-3 years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Developer, showcasing adeptness in manoeuvring the Salesforce platform.
- Profound knowledge of Salesforce\’s declarative configuration spectrum, including its capacities and constraints.
- Expertise in Salesforce programming languages and technologies, spanning Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, SOQL, and SOSL.
- A track record of utilizing Salesforce customization tools like workflows, validation rules, process builders, and formula fields.
- Familiarity with Salesforce\’s data framework, encompassing data modelling, management, and migration methodologies.
- Experience implementing diverse Salesforce integration patterns, effectively linking Salesforce with external systems.
- Proven ability to dissect business requirements and devise technical solutions, coupled with exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Stellar communication and collaboration prowess, enabling effective engagement with stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and business users.
- While not mandatory, Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I, Salesforce Administrator) are advantageous.
Interview process:
- We’ll review your application internally.
- If you have the qualities we are looking for, we’ll schedule an initial video call with our Talent Acquisition Manager and Head of CRM. This is fairly informal and gives us an opportunity to explore your skills and experience further, talk more about the role to ensure both parties are happy to proceed. This usually takes no longer than 30 minutes.
- If we’re all happy to proceed, we’ll invite you to a further team\’s call (or in person if local to Sheffield) to dive deeper into your experience and understand more about your previous work. This would be with the Director of Product and Technology and the Head of CRM.
- If we feel you’re the right candidate for our team, we’ll make an offer!
