Are you a highly driven Account Manager with proven experience in the PBSA/BTR sector ready to make your mark in a pivotal new role? Reporting directly to our Head of Client Acquisition (PBSA/BTR), you'll be instrumental in establishing UniHomes' presence within the Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) and Build-to-Rent (BTR) sectors. This role focuses on launching our innovative rental advertising product into these key markets. This role offers the flexibility of remote work for the first half of the year, after which you will transition to a field‑based role, traveling nationally up to three days a week with some overnight stays. You will build relationships, attend industry events, and conduct impactful meetings across the PBSA and BTR sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust, high-value relationships with key decision-makers within PBSA and BTR operators.
- Serve as the primary strategic point of contact, leading ongoing discussions around performance, optimisation, and new opportunities.
- Conduct a minimum of 10 impactful meetings per week, including in-depth account reviews, strategic follow-ups, and platform training sessions.
- Actively represent UniHomes at industry networking events and conferences to strengthen relationships and uncover new opportunities.
Performance and growth optimisation
- Proactively monitor, analyse, and significantly improve the performance of operator listings, ensuring maximum visibility, competitiveness, and data accuracy.
- Deliver regular, insightful reports and data-driven recommendations that directly contribute to partner success and conversion rates.
- Provide weekly performance headlines and comprehensive reports to the Head of PBSA and BTR.
Portfolio excellence
- Ensure all partner listings are complete, up-to-date, and consistently exceed platform standards across pricing, availability, rich media (images/virtual tours), and detailed property information.
- Collaborate with operators to effectively roll out impactful promotional offers and dynamic seasonal adjustments.
Internal collaboration and innovation
- Work seamlessly across our product, content, and marketing teams to address client needs swiftly and enhance overall platform functionality.
- Identify and help implement process improvements that elevate partner satisfaction and streamline operational efficiencies.
Skills and experience
- Minimum of 3 years' hands‑on Account Management experience within a B2B setting.
- Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels.
- A strong commercial mindset underpinned by a proactive, data‑driven approach to account growth and revenue generation.
- Proficient and comfortable navigating property management systems, CRM platforms (ideally Salesforce), and various online marketplaces.
- Highly organised, capable of managing a diverse portfolio of accounts simultaneously while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- A clear, confident, and persuasive communicator (both written and verbal) who can articulate complex information effectively.
- Full, valid UK driving licence (as this is a field-based role with regular travel).
Highly desirable
- Experience and a strong network directly within the Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) and/or Build-to-Rent (BTR) sector.
- Direct experience within the PropTech, SaaS, or online marketplace environments.
- Familiarity with occupancy strategies, revenue management, and seasonal trends specific to student accommodation.
