OVERVIEW The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is recruiting a UK-PHRST Head of Programme and Partnership Delivery based in London. This senior position sits within the UK Public Health Rapid Support Team (UK-PHRST), an initiative funded through Official Development Assistance from the Department of Health and Social Care. The role focuses on strategic leadership across programme delivery, research collaboration, and equitable global partnerships. The post holder will contribute to outbreak response activity and support the development of global capability through partnership engagement, communications, and policy-focused work linked to health and research priorities.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for the delivery of the UK–LMIC Research Partnership
- Lead strategy and delivery of outcomes for the Knowledge Translation and Policy Uptake workstream
- Lead strategy and delivery of outcomes for the Global Science Capability and Collaboration workstream
- Establish and strengthen equitable global partnerships
- Contribute to capability sharing initiatives
- Lead programme-wide communications activities
- Support research-related activities connected to UK-PHRST objectives
- Represent the UK-PHRST in influential global and regional forums
- Work closely with ministries of health, UN agencies, research institutions, and funders
- Participate as a member of the UK-PHRST Senior Management Team
Requirements
