OVERVIEW Cardiff University is recruiting a Head of Transnational Education to provide strategic leadership for its growing tne portfolio. The role supports the university’s ambitious global strategy and focuses on developing international partnerships, expanding opportunities across international markets, and supporting the future direction of global education initiatives. This position will lead the dedicated tne team and oversee the development, governance, and delivery of partnerships aligned with the university’s strategic priorities. The role also involves collaboration across the university and engagement with external international stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership, direction, and management for the university’s tne portfolio
- Ensure development of the tne portfolio aligns with Cardiff University strategic priorities and global strategy
- Develop new tne opportunities across international markets and jurisdictions
- Lead partnership negotiations for international collaborations
- Oversee the development and delivery of tne agreements
- Provide expert advice on legal, regulatory, and compliance considerations related to tne
- Work closely with colleagues across the university to ensure partnerships are appropriately developed, governed, and delivered
- Lead and line manage the Cardiff University tne team
- Create a collaborative and high-performing team environment focused on high-quality international partnerships
- Undertake international travel as required
Requirements
- Experience in transnational education leadership
- Ability to provide strategic leadership and direction
- Experience developing and managing international partnerships
- Ability to lead partnership negotiations
- Knowledge of legal, regulatory, and compliance considerations associated with tne
- Experience managing teams and providing line management
- Ability to work collaboratively across a university environment
