OVERVIEW This role sits within LSE Careers and focuses on delivering specialist careers support to international students and graduates, as well as UK-based students aiming to work overseas.
The Careers Consultant (International) plays a central role in helping students and recent alumni make informed career decisions and actively manage their career development in a global context.
The position combines strategic leadership in international careers provision with hands‑on delivery of guidance, events, and resources.
Key responsibilities
- Support international students, graduates, and UK-based students seeking to work abroad with career decision‑making and career management.
- Lead and innovate careers support tailored to international students and graduates.
- Design and deliver engaging careers workshops and events in both in‑person and online formats.
- Create careers‑related resources that address international and global employment pathways.
- Provide tailored one‑to‑one careers guidance to students and recent alumni.
- Build and maintain strong collaborative working relationships across internal teams.
Requirements
- Confidence in presenting to diverse audiences.
- Strong skills as a facilitator of workshops and group sessions.
- Ability to build effective and collaborative relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Excellent understanding of the UK graduate labour market.
- Excellent understanding of international graduate labour markets.
