A leading national civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team delivering long‑term works on Sizewell C, including the design and build of three wastewater treatment plants forming part of the site’s essential utilities network. This is a permanent role offering stability, progression and the chance to work on a multi‑billion‑pound project with decades of future delivery.

The ideal QS will bring experience from water, utilities or infrastructure environments and be confident working within NEC‑governed contracts.

Key Requirements

  • NEC contract experience is essential (NEC3 or NEC4)
  • Background in water, utilities or infrastructure projects
  • Experience working with or managing programmes governed by Primavera P6
  • Strong commercial reporting, CVR production, change management and cost control
  • Confident managing subcontract procurement, payments and variations
  • SC clearance is ideal, but not essential – the contractor can sponsor this

Role Responsibilities

  • Support commercial delivery across Sizewell C work packages, including three wastewater treatment plant design & build schemes
  • Administer NEC contracts including change control, compensation events and risk management
  • Produce accurate CVRs, forecasts, cost reports and cashflow
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiation, valuations and final accounts
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure cost alignment and value protection
  • Maintain strong client and supply chain relationships
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and internal governance
  • Assist the Commercial Manager with strategic commercial decision‑making

Ideal Candidate Profile
