Role Purpose
As a Mobile Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, service, repair, and replacement of electrical and mechanical systems within critical healthcare environments. You will ensure all building services operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with statutory and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems.
- Maintain and repair plant and equipment typically found in critical hospital environments, including:
- Electrical distribution systems
- HVAC systems (AHUs, FCUs, chillers, boilers)
- Pumps, motors, and associated mechanical plant
- Emergency lighting and power systems
Skills & Experience Required
- Recognised electrical or mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent).
- Proven experience working as a Mobile Engineer within commercial or critical environments.
- Strong technical knowledge across both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of statutory compliance, permits, and safe systems of work.
- Strong communication, organisational, and customer-facing skills.
- Ability to work Monday to Friday during normal working hours.
