UNIFY VSN is a leading specialist in LED display technology, audio-visual systems and innovative digital installations, delivering high-quality projects for major brands across the UK, Europe and the United States.
Our work includes permanent LED installations, retail displays, immersive experiences, digital signage, exhibitions, live events and large-scale LED display solutions.
As our international customer base continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and technically skilled LED Screen Installation Engineer to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with the latest LED technology, travelling internationally and being involved in challenging, high-profile projects.
The Role
We are looking for a hands‑on LED Installation Engineer with a minimum of 2 years' proven industry experience installing, configuring, commissioning, maintaining and troubleshooting professional LED display systems.
Strong practical experience with both NovaStar and Mooncell LED control systems is essential.
The successful candidate must be confident taking an LED installation from initial construction through to full configuration, testing and customer handover.
You will work on a wide variety of projects, from smaller bespoke LED displays through to large-scale installations for internationally recognised brands.
This role requires someone who is technically capable, reliable, adaptable and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, commission and maintain indoor and outdoor LED display systems.
- Set up, programme and troubleshoot NovaStar and Mooncell LED processors, receiving cards and control systems.
- Carry out LED screen mapping, cabinet configuration, resolution setup and calibration.
- Build and dismantle LED displays, including modular cabinets, rental systems and permanent installations.
- Diagnose and repair LED modules, receiving cards, power supplies, data connections and processing equipment.
- Install and manage LED power and data cabling.
- Conduct screen testing, quality checks and final commissioning before customer handover.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and installation plans.
- Undertake routine maintenance, servicing and emergency repairs.
- Work alongside project managers, other engineers and external contractors.
- Provide technical support during installations, events and customer activations.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, professionally and within agreed deadlines.
- Maintain tools, equipment and spare parts.
- Represent UNIFY VSN professionally when working directly with customers in the UK and overseas.
Essential Skills & Experience
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' hands‑on experience installing and maintaining professional LED screens.
- NovaStar experience is mandatory, including NovaLCT software, processor configuration, screen mapping and fault diagnosis.
- Mooncell experience is mandatory, including processor setup, receiving‑card configuration, screen mapping and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of LED display technology, pixel pitch, resolution, refresh rates and cabinet configurations.
- Experience working with both indoor and outdoor LED displays.
- Ability to identify and resolve hardware, software, power and signal‑related faults.
- Good knowledge of LED power distribution, CAT6 networking and video signal connections.
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach to customer service.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when projects require.
Please note: Experience with both NovaStar and Mooncell is an essential requirement. Candidates without at least 2 years' relevant LED installation experience will not be considered.
International Travel & Flexibility – Essential Requirement
UNIFY VSN supports a growing number of high-profile customers across the UK, Europe and the United States.
Due to the nature of our business, our engineers are regularly required to travel internationally to undertake installations, maintenance, commissioning and urgent technical support.
The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel internationally at the drop of a hat, sometimes with as little as 24 hours' notice.
This is a fundamental requirement of the position, and applicants must understand that international travel is a regular part of the role, not an occasional possibility.
You must be comfortable with:
- Travelling throughout the UK, Europe and the United States at very short notice.
- Responding to urgent customer requirements that may involve overseas travel with minimal preparation time.
- Working away from home for several days or weeks, depending on project requirements.
- Adapting to changes in customer schedules and installation programmes.
- Working occasional evenings, weekends and extended hours when required.
- Holding a valid passport and being eligible to obtain any necessary visas and work authorisations.
- Maintaining a professional attitude when representing UNIFY VSN and our customers internationally.
Important: This is not a conventional 9-to-5 engineering position. We are looking for someone who enjoys the challenges and opportunities of international project work and understands the flexibility required within the LED and AV industry.
All authorised flights, accommodation and business travel expenses will be covered by UNIFY VSN in accordance with company policy.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
The following would be advantageous:
- Experience with NovaStar VX, MX and MCTRL processor ranges.
- Experience with curved, flexible, transparent and creative LED displays.
- Experience with large-format LED video walls and outdoor installations.
- Knowledge of HDMI, SDI, fibre‑optic systems and video distribution.

What We Offer
- Competitive salary based on experience and technical ability.
- Opportunity to work on exciting projects for internationally recognised brands.
- Regular opportunities to travel and work across Europe and the United States.
- Exposure to the latest LED display and AV technologies.
- Ongoing technical training and professional development.
- Career progression opportunities within a growing international business.
- Supportive working environment with an experienced technical team.
- Company tools and equipment provided.
- Company-funded authorised business travel, flights and accommodation.
- Varied and challenging projects where no two days are the same.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about LED technology and takes pride in delivering professional, high-quality installations.
You should be confident building an LED screen, configuring the processors, mapping the display, diagnosing technical problems and completing the commissioning process.
You must be proactive, dependable, organised and able to remain calm under pressure, particularly when working to tight deadlines or dealing with unexpected technical issues.
Most importantly, you must have a flexible attitude towards international travel and be prepared to support your customers wherever and whenever reasonably required.
We want someone who can become a trusted member of our engineering team and help us continue delivering exceptional LED installations around the world.
