Unify are proud to be exclusively representing an exciting scale-up business who are looking to engage a Contract Senior QA Automation Engineer to help them accelerate their Test Automation journey. This Contract will be for initially 3 months, however it is highly likely to extend longer term. The role will be Remote however, there is an expectation of 1 in-person meeting, in Bristol per month.

Overview: We’re seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to contribute to the expansion and improvement of our clients automated testing framework. This contract role focuses on building and maintaining robust test automation for an evolving platform, accelerating coverage of existing core functionality, and supporting long-term quality and reliability of releases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Automation Development:
  • Build and maintain end-to-end automated UI tests using Playwright (TypeScript).
  • Improve and expand the existing test suite to cover regression and feature-level behaviour.
  • Ensure test automation is integrated into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., via GitHub Actions).
  • Refactor existing tests to ensure reliability, maintainability, and clarity.
  • Test Reliability & Integration:
    • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of automated tests.
    • Monitor and report on test results, providing insights for continuous improvement.
