One of our favourite Consultancy partners urgently requires the services of a Senior Analytics Consultant, on an Outside IR35 basis, to join a project team delivering an Alpha phase of a high-profile NHS project. In this Alpha phase, you aren’t just looking at data; you are defining the blueprint for how an NHS health system will handle information.

Responsibilities:

  • Defining the data architecture and interoperability standards (specifically FHIR, HL7, and SNOMED CT) to ensure real-time data capture across Wales.
  • Creating draft reports and dashboards that demonstrate how the system will provide actionable intelligence.
  • Developing "Early Value Metrics" and a draft benefits framework to justify the transition to the Beta phase.
  • Collaborating on the design of "break-glass" workflows and anonymity protocols to protect sensitive patient data.
  • Contributing technical data insights to the comprehensive end-of-phase recommendation report for the Programme Board.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Experience or knowledge with healthcare data protocols, such as FHIR, HL7, and SNOMED CT.
  • Experience or knowledge of integrating with NHS assets, such as the National Data Resource (NDR) and the NHS Apps, is highly desirable.
  • Track record of managing high-risk, sensitive data (PII) within a clinical or highly regulated environment.
  • Experience mapping data flows from fragmented legacy systems into modern, API-first architectures.
  • Cloud Ecosystems: Familiarity with the Microsoft/Azure stack for data hosting and analytics.

Capabilities:

  • Collaborative Problem Solver: You will be "pairing" with NHS staff to share knowledge.
  • Agile Practitioner: You must be at home in a fast-paced Agile environment, participating in daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and "show and tells".
  • Bilingual Awareness: While the work is in English, you should be mindful of delivering products that support the other Language Standards.
  • Diplomacy: The ability to navigate a complex landscape of stakeholders, from clinical leads to tech architects at the NHS, and reach a consensus on data ownership.
