Unify have been exclusively engaged by a rapidly expanding Consulting partner, who require the services of an experienced Azure Transformation Engineer on a Contract basis for initially 3 months, starting ASAP. This is a fully remote role (must be UK based).
Role: Azure Transformation Engineer to support migration and transformation of workloads from an existing Azure platform to a modernised Azure environment. Work with application teams to understand requirements, support migration activities, suggest transformations onto more modern services and enable adoption of Infrastructure as Code practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage directly with application teams to capture needs, migration/transformation requirements, and dependencies.
- Contribute to light-touch solution design to ensure workloads fit the target Azure platform.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to provision and configure Azure resources.
- Build and optimise Azure DevOps pipelines to support automated deployments and migrations.
- Support workload migration and transformation, ensuring alignment with best practices and governance.
- Provide hands-on engineering expertise to troubleshoot and resolve issues during migration.
- Share knowledge and guidance with customer teams to build confidence in the new platform.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with Microsoft Azure (compute, networking, storage, identity, governance).
- Proficiency in Terraform for IaC and Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Ability to produce and communicate documentation describing technical designs at a light-touch level.
- Experience migrating and transforming applications/workloads in Azure.
- Exposure to Enterprise Scale / Landing Zone concepts and configuration management tools.
Contract & Benefits: Initial 3 Month Contract, very likely to extend into 2026. Fully remote (UK based). Start ASAP.
