Overview: We’re seeking a seasoned Cloud Solutions Architect to lead a large-scale on-prem to cloud transformation and data centre migration for a public sector organisation. This role involves defining Azure Landing Zone high-level designs, facilitating discovery workshops, and owning the cloud architecture strategy from planning through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate discovery workshops to capture business, technical, and security requirements.
- Define and deliver high-level Azure Landing Zone architecture and governance frameworks.
- Architect secure, scalable solutions to support the migration from on-premises data centres to Microsoft Azure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design networking, security, and identity solutions that meet public sector standards.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience delivering cloud transformation and migration programmes in the public sector.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, including Landing Zone strategy and implementation.
- Strong understanding of data centre migrations and hybrid/cloud architectures.
- Excellent facilitation skills, with experience leading discovery and architecture workshops.
- Familiarity with public sector governance and security requirements.
Desirable:
- Strong understanding of networking principles in cloud and hybrid environments.
- Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in a multi-cloud or comparative context.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Bicep).
- Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-305, AZ-500) or equivalent.
