We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist educational setting in the GU6 area. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with a range of special educational needs, helping them to access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN.
  • Assist students with their academic, social, emotional, and personal development.
  • Support the delivery of tailored learning programmes under the guidance of teaching staff.
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to meet individual pupil needs.
  • Assist with personal care where required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs.
  • A patient, caring, and resilient approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
