A welcoming and supportive primary school based in NW10 is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Sports Coach to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for sport and working with children to gain valuable experience within a school environment.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and enjoyable sporting activities, helping pupils develop their physical skills, confidence, teamwork and positive attitudes towards exercise.
About the Role
As a Sports Coach, you will:
- Plan and deliver fun, engaging and age-appropriate sports activities
- Work with pupils across the primary age range
- Encourage children to participate in physical activity and develop new skills
- Promote teamwork, communication, confidence and positive behaviour
- Support pupils of different abilities to take part and enjoy sporting activities
- Create a safe, positive and inclusive environment
- Build positive relationships with pupils and encourage their participation
- Work closely with school staff to support pupils' wider development
- Help supervise pupils during sports activities and after-school sessions
- Contribute positively to the wider school environment
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children in a school, sports or youth setting
- A genuine passion for sport and physical activity
- Confident and enthusiastic when working with children
- Good communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to engage and motivate pupils
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Patient, positive and approachable
- Reliable and able to commit to Monday–Friday, 2:30pm–5:30pm
- Sports coaching qualifications or relevant experience would be advantageous
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
