A friendly and welcoming nursery in Slough is seeking enthusiastic Nursery Assistants to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young children during their early years development within a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment.
You will play an important role in helping children learn through play, develop key social skills, and build confidence as they progress through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Key Responsibilities- Support children aged 0–5 with their learning and development
- Assist in delivering engaging, play-based activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive nursery environment
- Support children's social, emotional, physical, and communication development
- Assist with daily routines including mealtimes, toileting, and transitions
- Observe and record children's progress where required
- Work closely with nursery practitioners, parents, and carers
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence
- Essential:
- Experience working with children in a nursery, preschool, or early years setting
- A caring, enthusiastic, and patient approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for supporting children's early development
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to Work in the UK
- Desirable:
- CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of the EYFS framework
- Paediatric First Aid qualification
- Experience supporting children with additional needs
