Location: Watford, Hertfordshire (one-form entry primary school)

Ofsted Rating: Outstanding in all areas

Working Pattern: Minimum 3 days per week (0.6 FTE) up to Full Time considered

The Role

As our SENCo, you will:

  • Provide strategic leadership and coordination of SEND provision across the school.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, families and external professionals to ensure timely identification, intervention and review of pupils with additional needs.
  • Lead on statutory processes including EHCP applications, reviews and annual reviews.
  • Monitor and evaluate impact of SEND support and interventions.
  • Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and best practice guidance.
  • Provide advice and training to staff to support high-quality inclusive teaching.

Person Specification

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Has the NASENCo Award (mandatory).
  • Has experience of working in SEND leadership or coordination.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Is committed to promoting inclusion and ensuring every child can succeed.
