Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Harrow Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only Salary: Β£96-104 Start Date: ASAP A supportive and vibrant primary school located in Harrow is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our passionate team. The Role: You will provide tailored support to students with a range of additional needs. You will work closely with classroom teachers and other professionals to ensure a positive and inclusive environment, for students to access the curriculum and achieve their personal and academic goals. Key Responsibilities: * Assist in the delivery of interventions to students with SEND, adapting materials and teaching methods as needed. * Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with additional needs, including those with learning difficulties, autism, and physical disabilities. * Support students in developing social and emotional skills, promoting positive behaviour and self-confidence. * Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and senior staff. * Collaborate with teaching staff, the SENDCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), and parents to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies. * Contribute to the creation of a safe and nurturing learning environment where all students feel valued and supported. About You: * Experience working with SEND is highly desirable. * Excellent communication skills. * The ability to work collaboratively within a team. * Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students. * A proactive approach to problem-solving and supporting students’ diverse needs. * Ideally, you will have a relevant degree/qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, SEN qualification) or be willing to undertake relevant training.
