A specialist SEN setting in Buckinghamshire is seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN Teacher to join their team. The school supports children with profound autism, many of whom are pre-verbal, and provides a nurturing, structured environment tailored to individual needs. The Role

  • Plan and deliver personalised lessons for pupils with complex needs and limited or no verbal communication
  • Create structured, consistent routines to reduce anxiety and support engagement
  • Use a range of communication methods, including PECS, Makaton, Sign-Along, and visual supports
  • Embed sensory regulation strategies into the daily timetable
  • Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of therapists and support staff
  • Lead and support a team of Teaching Assistants to deliver high-quality care and education
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress, contributing to EHCPs and review meetings
