SEN Teacher Location: Hayes, West London Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent Start Date: ASAP Are you an experienced and passionate teacher who wants to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you believe in inclusive, personalised education that helps every pupil thrive? Uniform Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher for a specialist school in Hayes. The school provides tailored education for pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), within a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. About the Role: As an SEN Teacher, you will: * Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils’ cognitive, communication, and sensory needs * Lead and support a team of Teaching Assistants to provide consistent, high-quality education and care * Collaborate with therapists and other professionals to embed therapeutic and regulatory strategies into daily teaching * Use AAC systems (PECS, Makaton, and high-tech communication devices) to support learning and communication * Build strong relationships with families and contribute to EHCP reviews and annual assessments * Create a classroom culture that celebrates progress, no matter how small What We’re Looking For: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) with proven SEN experience (specialist school experience desirable) * Knowledge of communication systems, sensory-based learning, and positive behaviour support * Experience teaching pupils with complex needs including SLD, ASC, or PMLD * Strong leadership and teamwork skills with the ability to motivate and guide support staff * Compassion, resilience, and adaptability in a dynamic SEN environment * Enhanced DBS on the update service
