A specialist SEN school in Pinner is seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in KS2 from January 2025. The school caters for children with Visual Impairments (VI), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), offering highly individualised, sensory-based learning programmes.

About the Role

  • Support KS2 pupils with VI, PMLD, and SLD needs in both 1:1 and small group sessions
  • Assist with sensory learning, communication development, and structured routines
  • Provide manual handling, mobility support, and personal care where required
  • Use adapted resources, tactile cues, and visual or AAC supports
  • Promote independence, emotional wellbeing, and safe access to learning
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and the wider team to meet EHCP outcomes
