Uniform Education is seeking a committed PMLD Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team in Northwood. The school provides a safe, structured, and inclusive setting where pupils with complex needs receive personalised support to help them thrive.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with PMLD, helping them access adapted learning and daily activities
- Deliver sensory activities and use structured routines to support engagement
- Use communication methods such as PECS, Makaton, and visual supports
- Encourage independence, social interaction, and confidence through positive reinforcement
- Assist with personal care, mobility, and medical needs where required
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to achieve pupils\β EHCP targets

- Experience supporting children or young people with PMLD or complex SEN needs
