A welcoming nursery in Oxfordshire is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join their Early Years team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a career in childcare and gain valuable experience within a supportive and nurturing environment.

Working alongside experienced Early Years practitioners, you will help create a safe, engaging, and stimulating setting where children are encouraged to learn, explore, and develop through play. No formal childcare qualification is required, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for working with young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children aged 0–5 years with their learning, care, and development
  • Assist with delivering engaging activities and play experiences
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Support children's social, emotional, physical, and communication development
  • Assist with daily routines, including mealtimes, toileting, and transitions
  • Observe children's progress and provide feedback to the nursery team
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times
What We’re Looking For
  • A genuine passion for working with young children
  • Previous experience working with children is desirable, whether in a nursery, school, care, or voluntary setting
  • Caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop within an Early Years setting
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to Work in the UK
Desirable
  • Experience within a nursery or Early Years setting
  • Knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification
  • Interest in completing an Early Years or Childcare qualification
