The Role
- Provide strategic leadership and coordination of SEND provision across the school.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, families and external professionals to ensure timely identification, intervention and review of pupils with additional needs.
- Lead on statutory processes including EHCP applications, reviews and annual reviews.
- Monitor and evaluate impact of SEND support and interventions.
- Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and best practice guidance.
- Provide advice and training to staff to support high-quality inclusive teaching.
Person Specification
- Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
- Has the NASENCo Award (mandatory).
- Has experience of working in SEND leadership or coordination.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Is committed to promoting inclusion and ensuring every child can succeed.
