We are currently recruiting experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants for specialist SEN settings in the SW16 area. This is a full time role supporting pupils with complex learning needs within a structured and supportive environment.

The successful candidate should have strong SEN experience and be confident supporting pupils with either severe autism, ADHD, or SLD. This role suits someone proactive, calm and confident working with pupils who require consistent routines and specialist support.

Key responsibilities
  • Supporting learning across the classroom and leading small groups where required
  • Delivering planned activities under teacher direction
  • Providing one to one and group support for pupils with complex SEN
  • Supporting communication, sensory regulation and engagement
  • Assisting with daily routines and transitions
  • Working closely with teachers and the wider SEN team
  • Personal care may be required depending on pupil needs
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a HLTA or in a similar SEN support role
  • Strong experience supporting pupils with SEN
  • Experience with SLD or PMLD is desirable
  • Experience supporting pupils with high Autism is highly desirable
  • Confident, reliable and able to commit full time
  • Calm, patient and adaptable approach
