A range of welcoming mainstream and SEN schools across Hillingdon are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their supportive teams on both long-term and daily supply placements. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants who are passionate about supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), delivering targeted interventions, and helping children achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive learning environment.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN
- Deliver targeted interventions to support pupils' academic and personal development
- Support pupils with their learning, engagement, and classroom activities
- Work across mainstream and SEN settings, depending on the placement
- Promote positive behaviour, independence, and confidence
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and personal development
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff to meet pupils' individual needs
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
About You
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar education-based role
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN is essential
- Experience delivering or supporting targeted interventions
- Confident working with pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Patient, caring, and adaptable approach to supporting children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Comfortable working across both mainstream and SEN school environments
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via Uniform Education)
- Must be available Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm
