A range of welcoming mainstream and SEN schools across Hillingdon are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their supportive teams on both long-term and daily supply placements. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants who are passionate about supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), delivering targeted interventions, and helping children achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN
  • Deliver targeted interventions to support pupils' academic and personal development
  • Support pupils with their learning, engagement, and classroom activities
  • Work across mainstream and SEN settings, depending on the placement
  • Promote positive behaviour, independence, and confidence
  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and personal development
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to meet pupils' individual needs
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

About You

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar education-based role
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN is essential
  • Experience delivering or supporting targeted interventions
  • Confident working with pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
  • Patient, caring, and adaptable approach to supporting children
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Comfortable working across both mainstream and SEN school environments
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via Uniform Education)
  • Must be available Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm
