Are you a passionate and committed English teacher who wants to make a real difference beyond the classroom? We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced secondary English teachers to deliver 1:1 tuition to students across Harrow (during school hours). This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people who may be out of school, require alternative provision, or need targeted help to reach their full potential in English Language and Literature.
Key Information:
- Hours: Tuition takes place Monday to Friday between 9am-4pm (term-time only). Sessions are scheduled flexibly around your availability.
- Paid PPA Time: You'll receive 2 hours of paid PPA upon starting. For every 10 hours of tuition delivered per student, you'll earn an additional hour of paid PPA.
- Location: Most sessions take place in the student's home (with a parent/carer present). Some may be held in local libraries or learning centres. Comprehensive risk assessments are completed before you attend.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) - essential.
- Enhanced DBS check (on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one).
- Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature (KS3-KS4) with the ability to personalise lessons to individual learning needs.
