SEN Teaching Assistants – N14 Southgate, Enfield
Day rate: £105–£110 per day • ASAP starts • Term-time only
Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference every day? We are recruiting SEN TAs to work in a highly supportive special school in N14 Southgate, supporting pupils aged 7–19 with a variety of SEN. This role is ideal if you have school-based experience supporting pupils with SEN and are committed to positive learning and development.
Role & Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to pupils with SEN in class, in small groups, and 1:1
- Assist learners to access engaging lessons tailored to their individual needs
- Support pupils with communication, social interaction, behaviour and emotional regulation
- Work closely with class teachers to implement learning activities and differentiated tasks
- Help promote confidence, independence and positive behaviour in pupils
- Support integration into the school environment, break times and routines
- Monitor pupil progress, contributing to records and positive behaviour support plans
- Foster a safe, nurturing, inclusive classroom atmosphere where every pupil feels valued
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN in a school setting
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people with additional needs
- Strong understanding of SEN – communication, behaviour, engagement
- Excellent teamworking and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one before starting
- Patience, resilience, and a positive, proactive attitude
