We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Education Healthcare Assistant (EHCA) to join a supportive team working across schools to provide essential care for pupils with medical, physical, and complex needs. This role is vital in ensuring students are safe, supported, and able to access learning throughout the school day.

You will be part of a collaborative team, working closely with school staff, healthcare professionals, and families to deliver personalised care that promotes student wellbeing and independence.

As an Education Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-to-one or small group support to pupils with healthcare and personal care needs
  • Supporting students with mobility, feeding, toileting, and medication (training provided)
  • Monitoring and responding to individual health plans and care routines
  • Assisting in the classroom where appropriate to support student engagement
  • Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to ensure holistic care
  • Maintaining accurate records of care provided and any incidents
