About the Role
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils individual needs and abilities.
- Support pupils with special educational needs, promoting communication, independence and personal development.
- Create a safe, structured and stimulating classroom environment.
- Adapt teaching strategies and resources to support a range of learning needs.
- Monitor, assess and record pupil progress, contributing to individual learning targets and support plans.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents and other professionals.
- Promote pupils emotional wellbeing, confidence and social development.
- Support pupils in developing essential life skills and preparing for future learning and independence.
About You
- Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Have experience teaching pupils with special educational needs, or a strong interest in developing your SEN teaching career.
- Have an understanding of differentiated teaching approaches and inclusive education.
- Be patient, empathetic and committed to helping every pupil achieve their potential.
- Have strong communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
- Be confident working collaboratively with support staff and multidisciplinary teams.
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one.
