HLTA – PPA / ECT Cover Location: NW10 Start Date: ASAP Start Contract: Part-Time, Monday–Wednesday, Full Academic Year A welcoming and supportive primary school in NW10 is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team for the full academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and experienced HLTA to provide PPA and ECT cover across the school. The Role As an HLTA, you will: * Deliver planned lessons during PPA cover, including Music – no lesson planning required * Provide planned cover for ECT release time * Lead lessons confidently and maintain a positive learning environment * Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills * Follow guidance and expectations from the class teacher and SLT * Use initiative and work effectively as part of the wider school team * Build positive relationships with pupils and staff * Support the smooth running of lessons and maintain high expectations * Adhere to Teaching Assistant and HLTA standards and school policies About You * Previous experience working as an HLTA in a primary school is essential * Confident leading whole-class lessons independently * Excellent behaviour management skills * Able to deliver pre-planned lessons effectively * Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance * Able to follow guidance from teachers and senior leaders * Proactive and able to use initiative * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Professional, approachable, and adaptable * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via Uniform Education) What’s on Offer * A full academic year position, working Monday to Wednesday * A supportive and welcoming school environment * No lesson planning required for PPA Music lessons * Consistent and reliable work across the academic year * The opportunity to work closely with experienced teachers and SLT * A varied and rewarding role supporting pupils across the school * Ongoing support from Uniform Education * The opportunity to make a genuine impact on pupils' learning and development
