About the Role
- Support the day-to-day care and learning of children within the EYFS setting
- Assist with play-based learning activities that promote development
- Help create a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment
- Support children’s social, emotional, and communication development
- Assist with daily routines, including mealtimes, toileting, and transitions
- Work closely with the Nursery Practitioners and room leaders
- Observe and support children’s progress and development
Requirements
- Experience working with young children or in a nursery/EYFS setting
- A warm, patient, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and child development basics
- Willingness to support personal care needs
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years
- Knowledge of the EYFS framework
- Experience supporting children with additional needs
