Due to a period of sustained organic growth, my client has a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Accountant to join our talented team. This role is ideal for someone already working in a UK accountancy practice who is looking to build on their experience and develop new skills. You will enjoy a supportive, flexible environment and real opportunities for advancement.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Skills- Prepare Statutory Accounts, Corporation Tax Returns, Self-Assessment Tax Returns, and P11Ds for a varied portfolio of clients.
- Maintain and grow strong client relationships through exceptional service and proactive communication.
- Attend meetings with the Client Manager and assist in identifying tax planning opportunities.
- Prepare Real Time Capital Gains Tax reports for clients.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts.
- Ensure all deadlines are met while managing multiple assignments.
- AAT Level 4 completed or part completed. Intention to study for ACCA qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in a UK accountancy practice.
- Strong experience with Xero or other cloud-based accounting software.
- Experience with Iris would be an advantage.
- Initiative-driven with excellent organisational skills.
- Meticulous, conscientious, and self-motivated.
- Confident in communicating with clients, colleagues, and senior management.
- Able to work quickly and accurately while meeting deadlines.
- Salary circa £28k - £32k, commensurate with experience.
- Hybrid working: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.
