Salary: Β£35,000 - 40,000 per year

Requirements:

  • We require 4 years of audio-visual experience in installation, onsite work, or technical support.
  • We require the ability to terminate cables, particularly Cat5/6, RS232, and Audio TRS.
  • We require knowledge of audio room acoustic optimisation across different environments.
  • We require effective communication skills at all levels, especially in client-facing situations.
  • We require good numeracy and written skills.
  • We require strong organisation and the ability to prioritise workload effectively while dealing with clients proactively.
  • We require a quick response to service desk tickets.
  • We require the ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
  • We require good timekeeping and appropriate dress for the job.
  • We require full compliance with The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
  • We require a clean driving licence and current passport holder status.
  • We require AVIXA CTS certification.
  • Desirable: Crestron P101.
  • Desirable: Extron School of AV.
  • Desirable: Cisco CCIP.
  • Desirable: Microsoft Teams core skills.
  • Desirable: Networking knowledge, including identifying issues related to Dante/AES67, QoS, PTP, and IGMP.

Responsibilities:

  • We provide field-based service and support to end clients.
  • We service and support audio-visual, video conferencing, pro audio, and control equipment.
  • We diagnose faults safely and correctly.
  • We remove, repair, test, implement, and operate audio-visual, video conference, display, and presentation technologies.
  • We carry out preventative maintenance visits.
  • We train end users where required during PM visits.
  • We perform post-implementation fault finding, testing, and repair of audio-visual equipment across various job sites and client types.
  • We spend most of our time onsite, carrying out work at customer locations.
  • We configure, diagnose, and update firmware for videoconferencing codecs and AV hardware.
  • We maintain site cleanliness and adhere to site rules, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
  • We provide ad hoc onsite technical cover for annual leave and sickness.
  • We complete post-job and preventative maintenance reports.
  • We provide phone and email technical support.
  • We conduct product research and development for client requirements.
  • We continue with personal development plans and applicable training.
  • We support IMS and quality policy awareness and development.

We are hiring an Audio Visual Service Engineer to support clients across the London area. This is a field-based role working as part of our service team, with a mix of onsite work and office-based reporting and support. The salary is budgeted up to 40K with some flexibility depending on experience, and we also offer a monthly car allowance. The role covers a wide range of modern AV technologies, including conferencing, display, control, digital signage, video wall, IPTV, and live event systems, within a corporate environment.
