We are seeking a high-energy, assertive Audio-Visual Business Development Manager (BDM) with strong experience in the Audiovisual (AV) / ProAV industry to drive rapid growth and help build the pipeline for the future success of my client, executing growth strategies, tactics, and action plans.
To be successful as a Business Development Manager, you should be persuasive and have strong business acumen, with the ability to negotiate sound business deals as well as demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. This is a hybrid role; improving the market position of the company by pursuing opportunities in alternative business segments to diversify the company’s client base.
- Execute high-volume outbound outreach (cold calls, LinkedIn, email campaigns, networking) to drive pipeline growth.
- Engage with CIOs, CTOs, AV/IT directors, and facilities managers to build long-term service relationships.
- Maintain CRM accuracy, forecasting, and reporting.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments such as Sales, Service, Marketing, and Operations teams to align business development activities with overall company strategy.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends and growth opportunities in target markets.
- Represent the company in the AV industry, maintaining standards of business.
- Attend networking events with clients, consultants, and suppliers.
Successful business development experience in the AV/ProAV industry or a technical product line is required. In-depth knowledge/experience in collaboration with Audio Visual and related product lines is preferred. Experience in researching new business markets and commercial success in executing Business Development strategy and finding profitable new revenue streams is essential. Capable of positioning and selling the value of a quality solution. A BA or BS degree (or equivalent) in a related field of study is required.
