We are seeking a high-energy, assertive Audio-Visual Business Development Manager (BDM) with strong experience in the Audiovisual (AV) / ProAV industry to drive rapid growth and help build the pipeline for the future success of my client, executing growth strategies, tactics, and action plans.
To be successful as a Business Development Manager, you should be persuasive and have strong business acumen, with the ability to negotiate sound business deals as well as demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. This is a hybrid role; successful candidates will need to be based within a commutable distance of London. The salary range is budgeted between 50-60K basic, based on experience + commission.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:- Improving the market position of the company by pursuing opportunities in alternative business segments to diversify the company’s client base.
- Execute high-volume outbound outreach (cold calls, LinkedIn, email campaigns, networking) to drive pipeline growth.
- Engage with CIOs, CTOs, AV/IT directors, and facilities managers to build long-term service relationships.
- Maintain CRM accuracy, forecasting, and reporting.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments such as Sales, Service, Marketing, and Operations teams to align business development activities with overall company strategy.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends and growth opportunities in target markets.
- Expose the company’s presence as a systems integrator, design consultant, and service provider.
- Represent the company in the AV industry, maintaining standards of business.
- Attend networking events with clients, consultants, and suppliers.
- Successful business development experience in the AV/ProAV industry or a technical product line.
- In-depth knowledge/experience in collaboration with Audio Visual and related product lines preferred.
- Experience in researching new business markets and commercial success in executing Business Development strategy and finding profitable new revenue streams.
- Proactive and highly motivated self-starter with a desire to succeed.
- Strong influencing skills, ability to operate comfortably, and influence at the C level.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Strong communicator, both verbal and written.
- Capable of opening doors and developing relationships in a competitive environment.
- Capable of positioning and selling the value of a quality solution.
- A technical understanding of communication products and tools.
- BA or BS degree (or equivalent) in a related field of study.
