We’re seeking a motivated individual to join our growing Sales & Customer Development Team. Our Bradford office is looking for a motivated, proactive, and customer-focused candidate to join their growing office. The primary focus of the role will be preparing quotations for shipments to and from destinations across the world.
Responsibilities
- You’ll be at the heart of our customer journey – responding to quotation requests, securing the best rates, and helping turn enquiries into bookings.
- Handling worldwide quotation requests from customers and agents.
- Using tariffs, haulier lists and supplier portals to obtain competitive costing information.
- Liaising with carriers and suppliers to secure the best service at the best price.
- Ensuring all quotes include BIFA Terms & Conditions.
- Making follow-up courtesy calls to strengthen relationships and secure bookings.
- Handing over confirmed jobs clearly and accurately to operational teams.
Qualifications
- This is a key role in our business, requiring someone who is confident using their initiative and common sense.
- A strong communicator with great interpersonal skills.
- Able to negotiate effectively with customers and suppliers.
- Flexible, proactive and willing to get involved in day-to-day activity across the team.
- Achieving financial targets set by the business.
- Committed, motivated, energetic, and fun with a positive can-do attitude.
- Ideally with previous experience of Road freight.
