We are looking for an analytical and commercially astute Head of Partner Marketing & Insights to join UNiDAYS on a fixed-term basis for maternity cover. This pivotal role is responsible for executing our merchandising strategy across all personalised and automated communication channels, ensuring our student members receive the most compelling and relevant offers. As the custodian of our merchandising framework, you will manage high-visibility homepage content, optimise campaigns, and deliver data-driven insights to stakeholders. You will act as a critical link between our Commercial and Campaign teams, ensuring a unified approach to our campaign execution.
This role centralises analytical reporting across the Marketing team—building dashboards and empowering teams with actionable learnings to drive performance.
Qualifications- Experience: Proven track record leading a merchandising or analytical function, ideally in a fast-paced digital or e-commerce environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Bloomreach (or similar CRM/Personalisation tools) and BI tools like Tableau.
- Analytical Rigour: A natural ability to deep-dive into data while maintaining a view of the "bigger picture."
- Pragmatism: The ability to navigate ambiguity and make data-backed decisions under tight deadlines.
- Leadership: Experience managing and mentoring small teams with a focus on collaborative delivery.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams in a matrixed organisation.
- Merchandising Framework & Strategy: Oversee the merchandising calendar and framework, collaborating cross-functionally with the Campaign Delivery, Campaign Development, and Commercial teams. Execute the overarching merchandising strategy through personalised and automated communications via Bloomreach, responding dynamically to seasonal cycles, brand objectives, and member behaviour. Work with Campaign teams to implement behaviour-triggered communications and content aligned with key member lifecycle events. Optimise the matching of members to high-value offers to maximise offer performance.
- Homepage Management: Curate and continuously optimise the homepage experience to ensure the most relevant offers are surfaced for our member base. Drive the optimisation of personalised recommendations via Bloomreach, including the weighting of content blocks and ad slot performance. Partner with the Product team to foster a holistic member experience, including the integration of merchandising within search functions. Own the content calendar to strategically showcase key marketing campaigns and manage ad-hoc partner opportunities (e.g., major brand launches).
- Marketing Campaign Optimisation: Spearhead the Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) of marketing campaign pages to achieve maximum conversion rates. Generate data-backed evidence and recommendations to support the Commercial team in optimising offer presentation for superior commercial outcomes. Collaborate with the Product team on the planning, execution, and A/B testing of new campaign page features to simultaneously enhance member experience and drive improved business and partner results.
- Analytics & Reporting: Lead the development of reporting across all Marketing functions, establishing clear weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadences leveraging data in Tableau, Bloomreach, GA and Appsflyer. Work with our Data & Insight teams to build robust dashboards for tracking KPIs and monitoring real-time campaign effectiveness. Translate complex performance data into "so-what" actionable insights and strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead, coach, and provide strategic direction to a team of two, ensuring high output in a fast-paced environment. Build strong relationships across Marketing, Commercial, and Product to foster seamless cross-functional collaboration. Act as an insight-led consultant for the Commercial team during high-level campaign planning sessions.
