We’re looking for an experienced Global Compensation and Benefits Lead to join the People team and own our total rewards strategy across all markets. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for someone who thrives on building structure in a growing organization while rolling up their sleeves to execute. You’ll be the go-to expert on all things comp and benefits, responsible for designing and implementing strategies that are competitive, equitable, and aligned with our business goals. While you won’t have a direct team reporting to you, you’ll be embedded within our broader People team and will collaborate closely with colleagues across People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Business Partners and Employee Experience & Engagement to deliver on your remit. This is a role for someone who can work independently to drive initiatives forward while leveraging the support and partnership of the wider team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Benefits Strategy & Review: Lead a comprehensive review of our current benefits offering across all locations, identify gaps and opportunities, and develop a global benefits strategy that balances competitiveness, cost, and employee needs in a hybrid work environment.
  • Pay for Performance Framework: Design and implement a cohesive pay-for-performance strategy that drives the right behaviours and rewards high performance across the organization.
  • Compensation Strategy & Management: Own our approach to base salary levels, conduct market analysis to ensure we’re competitive, and provide recommendations on pay positioning and structure.
  • Annual Comp Cycles: Work alongside the People Ops team and business partners to manage end-to-end compensation review cycles including merit, promotion, bonus & commission processes – from planning and budgeting through communication and execution.
  • Benchmarking & Market Intelligence: Leverage external data and tools to ensure our compensation packages remain competitive and informed by market trends.
  • Global Consistency with Local Nuance: Ensure our compensation and benefits approaches work across our global footprint while respecting local market practices and compliance requirements.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Work closely with Finance, People Operations, and leadership to align total rewards with business strategy and budget realities.

Job Requirements

  • 10–12 years of experience in compensation and benefits roles, with deep expertise in both disciplines.
  • Builder mentality: You’ve worked in environments where you’ve had to create frameworks, processes, and strategies from scratch or with minimal infrastructure.
  • Discipline meets agility: You bring the rigor and best practices of a larger organization but know how to adapt and move quickly in a scale-up environment.
  • Hands-on execution: You’re not afraid to get into the weeds – building spreadsheets, running analyses, and handling the tactical alongside the strategic.
  • Global perspective: Experience managing compensation and benefits across multiple countries and understanding the complexities of different markets and regulations.
  • Hybrid work fluency: You understand how to design compensation and benefits programs that work for distributed and hybrid teams.
  • Technical capability: Comfortable with HRIS systems and compensation tools (we use HiBob, CapGuru, and Aon Radford for benchmarking, though specific platform experience isn’t required).
  • Independent operator: You can work autonomously, prioritise effectively, and drive initiatives forward without a direct team supporting you.
  • Communication skills: Ability to translate complex compensation topics into clear, compelling narratives for employees and leadership.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in B2B and B2C tech companies.
  • Background working in fast-growth scale-ups or as a sole contributor in smaller organizations.
  • Understanding of the US market.
