London, England, United Kingdom – £30,000‑£45,000

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join UNiDAYS as a Fraud Analyst and play a key role in protecting our platform, members, and partners from evolving threats. You’ll tackle complex analytical challenges, uncover fraud patterns, and help strengthen our defences against abuse. We\’re looking for an experienced analyst with a strong foundation in fraud to help shape and execute our fraud prevention posture. This position represents a significant opportunity for career growth and to deepen your specialisation in a hands‑on role. Our team uniquely combines the disciplines of cyber security and fraud prevention, using many similar tools, techniques and approaches to stop attackers. While your day‑to‑day focus will be on fraud analysis and prevention, you’ll also occasionally contribute to security operations as part of our team rotation, giving you exposure across both areas and the opportunity to grow as a threat analyst. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Customer Support, and Partner facing teams to ensure that fraud considerations are built into our systems. You will also identify fraud trends that will enable us to drive improvements and foster a culture of fraud awareness and threat prevention across the business.

Personal

  • Strong team working and collaboration skills.
  • Good business acumen and understanding of how fraud decisions impact broader business goals.
  • Critical thinker & problem solver with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Able to influence others and contribute positively to team culture.
  • Proactive, takes ownership, and delivers to a high standard.

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as a key hands‑on contributor on fraud matters, offering guidance on detection strategies and leading investigation efforts.
  • Conduct complex investigations into fraud and abuse, including account takeover (ATO), student verification fraud, partner discount abuse, and activity from bot/scalping farms.
  • Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of fraud detection and prevention systems and strategies.
  • Drive the continuous development of our fraud detection engines by defining data requirements and contributing to the building and tuning of new rules.
  • Take part in security operations during team rotations, such as monitoring alerts and supporting incident response.
  • Assist in managing and responding to fraud incidents.
  • Clearly articulate analytical findings and their business impact to diverse audiences.
  • Stay informed on industry fraud threats/trends, translating insights into improvements.
