About The Role
Location: Easily accessible by bus and foot
Service Type: Complex Disabilities & Health Needs
Setting: Residential – Supporting 8 Children & Young People
Salary: £42,100 per annum, £21,050 pro rata salary (£20.19 per hour)
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee children’s healthcare plans, ensuring the safe management and administration of medication in line with CIW, HIW and NMC guidance.
- Undertake clinical assessments and deliver nursing input, guidance and healthcare interventions as required.
- Provide training, support and supervision to staff in medication administration, clinical practice and health promotion.
- Assess and sign off staff clinical competencies, including (but not limited to) Enteral Feeding (PEG), Epilepsy Emergency Rescue Medication, Stoma Care, Suppositories, Enema Administration and Oxygen Therapy, based on the individual needs of each child or young person.
- Promote and safeguard children’s physical health, emotional wellbeing and developmental needs.
- Support the wider team to ensure all health appointments are appropriately arranged and attended.
- Actively contribute to and participate in weekly Integrated Care and Wellbeing Meetings.
- Maintain accurate, high‑quality clinical records and ensure full compliance with regulatory and inspection requirements, including CIW standards.
Successful candidate will be required to complete thorough pre‑employment checks including an enhanced DBS and, where applicable, overseas criminal record checks.
