Job Responsibilities
- Support the wider HR team to implement the People Plan so the business can meet its objectives.
- Assist with HR policies, procedures, and toolkits, ensuring consistency, compliance, and up‑to‑date information with relevant legislation and best practice.
- Support the HR team on key HR projects and integrations as agreed with the Director of HR and Resourcing.
- Assist the HRBP in developing and producing business‑impacting HR reports and management information, monitoring and analysing trends, and implementing changes to drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain internal HR files, trackers, and HR & Payroll system administration tasks, completing them within agreed deadlines.
- Perform administrative duties supporting various HR processes including TUPE transfers, restructuring, and reorganisation as required.
- Prepare and process HR contractual amendments, changes, and related documentation.
- Take ownership of the HR inbox action items, providing guidance to line managers within agreed SLAs.
- Complete contracts and contractual amendments, ensuring they are issued, signed, and filed appropriately.
- Process reference requests and take minutes in meetings as required.
- Assist with audits, RTW checks, and compliance-related queries, acting as the first point of contact.
- Research, request, and collate data or information on behalf of the wider HR team.
- Ensure compliance with safer recruitment policies, including DBS checks, non‑breach and sponsorship rules, and Welsh carer and clinical employee requirements.
- Deliver internal training on compliance processes when requested.
- Maintain confidentiality of all HR casework and projects.
- Keep up to date with legislation changes affecting the group within the HR space.
Qualifications
- Experience writing contracts and making contractual amendments.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills in a fast‑moving environment.
- Ability to work independently from a home‑based setting (ideally Birmingham/West Midlands) while remaining available for travel to services when needed.
- Line management by the HRBP.
- All successful candidates will be required to complete thorough pre‑employment checks, including an enhanced DBS and, where applicable, overseas criminal record checks.
