About The Role
Job Overview
You will be responsible for the security and maintenance of our buildings and vehicles. Duties include cleaning, performing simple repairs and maintenance tasks, and conducting security checks across three sites based on Albion Street. You must be a driver to transport the people we support and their supporters to activities or from home as needed. The role requires sensitivity to the needs of individuals with learning disabilities and additional needs. You must be able to work alone, with flexible shifts including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, to meet the service and community needs.
Role Responsibilities
- Cleaning the building and developing a cleaning rota for the team.
- Maintaining outside spaces.
- Inspecting heating, cooling, lighting, and alarm systems to ensure proper functioning.
- Performing basic repairs and maintenance.
- Reporting and coordinating larger repairs with the administrator.
- Monitoring and reordering cleaning materials, tools, and furniture.
- Opening and closing the building, ensuring all doors and windows are secured.
- Following safety policies to ensure a safe environment.
- Completing health and safety checks and audits regularly, reporting concerns.
- Creating and following a maintenance schedule for all sites.
- Conducting vehicle checks daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Transporting supported individuals and supporters to activities and homes as required.
