A leading designer and builder of bespoke machinery and automated equipment for high-tech and regulated sectors is seeking a Service & Commissioning Engineer. You’ll support commissioning of special-purpose machinery, deliver on-site and remote customer support, and play a key role in ensuring high-quality engineering outcomes.

The Role

  • Commission new machinery on client sites in the UK and overseas
  • Carry out planned maintenance and servicing
  • Provide remote diagnostics and troubleshooting support
  • Manage customer assistance requests through the ticketing system
  • Support installation, setup and post-delivery activities
  • Work collaboratively with internal engineering teams and client stakeholders

What You’ll Need

  • Strong experience working with mechanical and electrical industrial machinery
  • HND/HNC/C&G in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Background in automation, product handling or special-purpose machinery
  • PLC fault-finding skills (Omron/Beckhoff highly desirable)
  • Ability to make minor HMI modifications (Visual Studio experience beneficial)
  • Competence configuring drives and motors
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to work independently
  • Full UK driving licence and eligibility for international travel
