We are working exclusively with a long-established, privately owned group of specialist recruitment businesses that is looking for a high-impact Group Sales Director to drive growth across multiple sectors. The group operates within Construction, Property, Finance, Education and Care, supporting clients with tailored recruitment solutions built on more than 23 years of successful trading. This role will be specifically focusing on the Construction and Property sectors. This is a senior, hands-on commercial role and is a new position created to take them through their next growth phase.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the leaders of each business, you’ll take ownership of client growth across the group—identifying opportunities, opening doors, building relationships and securing profitable new partnerships. This isn’t about registering vacancies or managing day-to-day delivery. This is about solving problems, creating opportunities and winning new clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying and targeting new market opportunities across multiple sectors
  • Building and executing sales and lead-generation campaigns
  • Prospecting, engaging and influencing senior decision-makers
  • Leading client meetings, presentations and high-stakes pitches
  • Developing proposals, bids and tender submissions
  • Managing PSL and framework applications
  • Negotiating commercial agreements and closing deals
  • Working with business leaders to convert opportunities into revenue
  • You’ll be equally comfortable opening doors, building relationships, leading pitches and closing business.

About You

You’re an experienced, confident salesperson with a track record of winning new business. Your background could be in recruitment, professional services, outsourcing, consultancy, technology or any B2B environment where relationships and problem-solving drive results. You’ll likely bring:

  • A proven history of securing new clients and generating revenue
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience managing pipelines and longer sales cycles
  • Confidence producing proposals, bids or tender documents
  • The ability to engage senior stakeholders with credibility
  • A proactive, self-driven and accountable approach
  • Most importantly, you enjoy the chase—finding opportunities, creating conversations and turning them into work.

Success isn’t measured by reports, meetings or activity for activity’s sake. It’s measured by:

  • Opportunities created
  • Clients won
  • Revenue delivered

This is a hands-on, action-oriented commercial role for someone who thrives in the market—speaking to people, opening doors, building relationships and winning business.
