A first-generation construction contractor operating across Ireland, the UK and Northern Europe is seeking experienced Environmental, Health & Safety Advisors to join high-performing project teams in London. The organisation specialises in Critical Environments including Data Centres, Life Sciences, Aviation, High-Value Manufacturing and Critical Logistics.

This role is based on a major 3-year data centre development in the London Docklands.

Reporting To: Environmental Health & Safety Lead

Purpose of the Role: The Environmental Health & Safety Advisor is responsible for establishing, developing and directing the implementation of the HS&E strategy on projects, ensuring a positive safety culture and maintaining industry-leading standards in Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Implement EHS policies and provide guidance on all health & safety matters
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing and maintaining EHS documentation
  • Conduct site inspections, audits and prepare reports
  • Complete risk assessments and support incident/accident investigations
  • Identify training needs and deliver EHS training sessions
  • Ensure subcontractor compliance with EHS standards
  • Support stakeholder engagement and promote best-practice safety behaviours

Candidate Requirements:

  • Data Centre or Main Contractor experience
  • Resides within easy reach of the Docklands
  • Third-level qualification in EHS or a related discipline
  • 3+ years’ experience on large-scale commercial or construction projects
  • Highly organised, detail-orientated and capable of managing multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Conscientious, focused and proactive approach
  • Full clean driver’s licence
